trail in Waterford, Ireland

Coumshingaun Lough

A glacial amphitheatre high in the Comeragh Mountains

Worth the wander

Climb onto the rim above a dark corrie lake for one of Ireland’s most arresting mountain views. The full circuit is steep and exposed; the lower out-and-back still gives a fine view into the coum.
