Helvick Head is the easternmost point of the Ring (An Rinn) Gaeltacht peninsula, an Old Red Sandstone headland that is a breeding site for chough and shag; a waymarked trail climbs from Helvick Harbour to a summit view back over Dungarvan Bay.
