Clogherhead (Ceann Chlochair, 'rocky headland') is a working fishing village on a natural bay on the Louth coast. A walking trail follows steep sea cliffs from the village to Port Oriel harbour, built in 1885, and at low tide the beach can be walked on towards the Boyne estuary.
