Annalong Harbour & Corn Mill
A working 19th-century watermill beside a granite-trade harbour, right at the foot of the Mourne Mountains.
Worth the wander
Annalong's harbour was expanded in the 1880s to export granite quarried from the Mournes, and a standard-gauge railway once carried stone for reservoir works. Beside it stands the restored Annalong Corn Mill, one of the last working watermills in Northern Ireland, with its water wheel still turning.
